A Just City Where Everyone Can Thrive

The events of 2020 have laid bare difficult truths about our society – not all lives are equally valued in America, and that inequality breaks down along the intersections of race, gender, and income.

Our pervasive and systemic inequality has a common root and a common solution – Housing. Housing is the foundation of equity.

This September and October, Jubilee is hosting a series of conversations exploring how where you live affects your opportunities, your health, your ability to learn, and your relationship to our justice system. We invite you to join us for one or more of these conversations, share your lived experience, and how we can use geography to make sure everyone has an equal chance to thrive.

Since 1973, Jubilee Housing has been committed to the vision of a more just, more equitable city where all are welcomed and valued. We believe systems and institutions are broken, not people.

Everyone, no matter their identity, employment status, or neighborhood, deserves a chance to thrive, and to thrive people need good homes, good resources, and good opportunity. We believe the time to act on this vision is now, especially when the fallout from COVID-19 is poised to take the homes of so many people.
