Housing is the Foundation of Justice

This fall Jubilee Housing hosted a series of virtual conversations, all related to the theme “Housing is the Foundation.” In the monthly discussions, Jubilee staff and other experts discussed how where you live affects your opportunities, your health, your ability to learn, and your relationship to our justice system.

The conversation topics were Housing and Access to Wealth Building, Housing and Health, Housing and Education, and Incarceration and Reentry Housing.
More than 150 guests attended the four events via Zoom. Each discussion included presentations and breakout rooms for more intimate conversations.

Panelists included Maya Martin Cadogen, Parents Amplifying Voices in Education; Jung Hyun Choi, Housing Finance Policy Center at the Urban Institute; Rev. Donald Isaac Sr., DC Corrections Information Council; Jim Knight, Jubilee Housing; Patricia Mathews, Northern Virginia Health Foundation; Ronnie Middleton, Jubilee Housing; and Audrey Walker, Jubilee Housing.
