Innovation At Work

One of Jubilee’s most ambitious initiatives yet, Jubilee Farms is an aquaponics farm in our new Ontario Place building that demonstrates our Justice Housing® model by providing a place where residents can thrive. Jubilee Farms will produce fresh, locally grown vegetables for residents, will be a workforce training location for residents returning from incarceration, will sell produce as a generating-income venture, and will provide a place for beauty and meaning-making in our rooftop urban greenhouses.

Jubilee Farm’s Impact

Jubilee Farms is an innovative solution for sustainable food production that is good for the environment. By providing food for the Communal Kitchen for Jubilee’s nearby KEB building, the Farm will foster food security and access to healthy meals

The development is anticipated to generate approximately $900,000 per year in cost savings for the District in reduced recidivism and health emergencies.
