Men’s House Long-Term Temporary Resident Manager (Re-Entry)

Position Description:
In 2011, Jubilee Housing opened the Reentry Housing Initiative, which is a 1-year transitional housing program for justice-involved DC residents (returning citizens), who are returning to DC after a period of incarceration in local or federal prison systems. We currently operate two homes in the Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights neighborhood, one for 10 men and one for 10 women. We are currently seeking a Men’s House Resident Manager, a full-time staff position that supports Men’s House residents to comply with Program requirements and one who reports on any changes in the physical condition of the Men’s House. This position works collaboratively as a member of the Reentry Transitional Housing Program and reports to the RTHP Program Coordinator.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 4 p.m. – 12 a.m.
Essential Job Functions:
- Document resident engagements on the appropriate form– Apricot System
- Ensure that the facility is safe and secure during work hours.
- Support residents to adhere to Program and House Rules on a consistent and fair basis.
- Respond to incidents according to established guidelines.
- Maintain professional relationships and boundaries with residents while maintaining confidentiality of all parties.
- Complete paperwork and log note requirements, and maintain quality, up-to-date records.
- Consult with the Reentry Transitional Housing Case Manager and other program team members to ensure quality assurance for resident care.
- Participate in all assigned meetings, staff development, and trainings as required.
- Ensure training compliance of resident monitors (data systems and in-house)
- Complete Inventory management for homes to ensure adequate supply
- Participate in intake screenings as requested
- Assist the RTHP Program Coordinator with specific duties as requested
- Other duties as assigned in accordance with the care and coordination of the Program and residents.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals who are or have been justice-involved (citizens returning to DC from incarceration).
- Understanding and supportive of a trauma-informed system of care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and engagement.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Some computer skills required, primarily in Word and Excel, and the organization’s work time payroll management system.
- Ability to support the organization’s mission and philosophy, and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity and organizational harmony.
- Value for and the ability to deliver good resident services.
- Self-directed and flexible with the ability to meet the needs of the program and the residents.
Salary:
$40,000.00
